Moving to Hugo
I haven’t written much here lately, because I switched to the Hugo at the end of last year. My blog, which can be found at https://blog.kvak.net is built with Hugo, Github and Cloudflare Pages.
I’m not very active with writing anyway, but now that I started the Private Pilot License (certificate) — PPL (A) course. I think there will be more writing about tech in planes and such. I thought of keeping a little diary about the progress of my studies.
There are several reasons for moving
- I like technology, bells, whistles and Visual Studio Code / Git combo wins over the Mediums WYSIWYG editor
- I want to learn Hugo because I utilize it in other thingies, e.g. Helsec Ry
- Hugo offers the freedom to design and functionality of webpages. I want my site to be more than just a another blog on Medium.
- and of course, Medium’s paywall, I prefer that my articles remain free and in the open
We’ll see how actively I end up writing on that blog, but at least now I have the opportunity, and I won’t run out of topics :)
But from now on, new posts will be appearing at https://blog.kvak.net
